English | Español Episcopal Church in Western North Carolina • Iglesia Episcopal en Carolina del Norte occidental

We are an EPISCOPAL Church located in the mountains of North Carolina. Our parish has members from many countries in Latin America who now reside primarily in Henderson County and Buncombe County (though some come from as far as South Carolina to celebrate with us!). Our worship on Sundays is in Spanish but we have more than a few primary English speakers who worship with us regularly. All who so desire are welcome to worship with us and to become a part of this exciting community.

As Episcopalians, we are catholics who worship God according to traditional rites, who affirm the conciliar creeds, and who reverence the holy sacraments, especially Baptism and Eucharist. But at the same time, we are protestants who value a church structure that is different than that of the Roman Catholic Church. For example, our priests can marry and have children, women can be and are ordained, and laypersons have a great influence in making decisions that shape our church.

If you visit our church this Sunday, our worship will probably seem familiar if you come from a catholic background. But if you remain with us for some weeks or more, you will also see some of the differences that will hopefully lead you to a new understanding of what a Church can be.

Thanks for visiting us online. We hope to see you this Sunday at 11:00 in the morning!
